These are photographs of an Amerie that has been built, not renderings. Worth looking closely at the proportions: the shop is nearly twice the size of the home attached to it, and that reads very differently in a photograph than it does on a floor plan.

Single story, 612 heated square feet on a 48 by 38 foot footprint. One bedroom, one full bath.
The living space is one room: a front living area opening into a combined bar and kitchen, with the bedroom set at the rear behind it and the bathroom alongside. The bath carries a tub-shower combo, a vanity, a toilet and space plumbed for laundry hookups — there is no separate utility room, and on 612 square feet there could not be.
The shop bay takes the left of the footprint: 1,140 square feet, two large overhead doors and a separate side personnel door. Ceiling height is 13 feet in the shop against 9 feet in the living area, which tells you plainly which half of this building was designed first.

What does it cost to build an Amerie?
Finished barndominiums generally run $65 to $160 per square foot. On 612 heated square feet that is roughly $40,000 to $98,000 — and that number is close to meaningless here, which is the honest thing to say about it.
You are not building a 612 square foot house. You are building a 1,752 square foot structure with a 612 square foot apartment in the corner of it. Per-square-foot rates are quoted against heated space, and on this plan unheated square footage outweighs heated by nearly two to one. Every one of those 1,140 shop square feet needs slab, framing, roof and two overhead doors. Budget the whole building.
Starting from a kit shell instead: packages run about $20 to $35 per square foot with another $10 to $15 per square foot to assemble. A shop-dominant plan is where kits make the most sense, because the majority of what you are building is exactly what a metal building package is good at.
Your local labor market and whether you general-contract it yourself move this more than any design decision. Get county-level bids before you set a budget.
Is the Amerie right for you?
Read the ratio before anything else. This is a shop with living quarters, not a house with a shop. 1,140 square feet of workspace against 612 of living space. If you came looking for a home and the shop is a bonus, this is the wrong plan and no modification fixes the proportion.
Where it is genuinely excellent: it is the phase-one building. Put this up on raw land, live in the 612 square feet while you build the real house, and you are left with a finished 1,140 square foot shop instead of a construction trailer to get rid of. It also works as a rental over a working bay, a hunting or lake property, or a retirement workshop with somewhere to sleep.
One bedroom and one bathroom is the hard limit, and it is harder than it sounds. One bath means one person showering at a time and a guest using the same room your laundry hookups are in. There is no second bedroom to convert and no square footage to steal. Two people who both work from home will not fit.
The 13-foot shop ceiling is the spec to check against what you actually own. It clears most work trucks and a mid-height lift. It does not clear a Class A motorhome, and the plan publishes no overhead door dimensions — ask the designer for door sizes before you buy if you are parking anything tall.
No porch, no covered outdoor space, nothing. The entire unheated allowance is shop. On a small building in a hot climate, an unshaded entry door is felt every day. A covered entry is a reasonable minor modification and worth pricing before you buy rather than after.
