30x60 barndominium house plans for sale

30×60 is a common size for a barndominium home. If you are looking for 30×60 house plans, you are in the right place. Below, we share 4 beautiful 1,800 square foot plans with you to give you ideas for what your own barndominium floor plan could be.

For these floor plans, we are considering the ground floor of the living space only in the 1,800 square feet. We are not counting the garage, upper floor, or outdoor spaces, which add additional square footage.

When you are choosing an 1,800 square foot floor plan, here are some things to consider:

  • How many stories do you want?
  • How many bedrooms and bathrooms do you need?
  • Do you want your home to include a garage? If so, what will you use it for? Do you prefer it to be attached or detached?
  • What kinds of specialty features do you want in your home, if any? Examples include porches, a fireplace, a bonus room, a basement, a game room, or a kitchen island.

The front porch opens on a combined living room, kitchen and dining room with a high ceiling for a spacious, open feel. If you head to the right from the living room, you’ll find a laundry and bathroom across from the kitchen. A short hall leads to the carport, with doors on either side entering the two smaller bedrooms.

On the other side of the main living spaces is the master bedroom, which includes a master bathroom and walk-in closet. There is also a small mud room off the dining room.

Best For: This barndominium is perfect for anyone who wants an enclosed carport, but who doesn’t want to add a huge amount of square footage to their 1,800 square foot home.

The 30×60 Rowe barndominium features quite a bit of added space in the form of a 1,200 square foot garage, and a 920 square foot porch. This effectively makes it a shop house. It includes 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.

The living room is dramatic and roomy with a vaulted ceiling and decorative beam. The dining room and kitchen are combined into the open floor plan. The master bedroom, bathroom and closet are located on one side of the main living spaces. On the other, a hallway leads to the two secondary bedrooms, a bathroom, and a laundry room. This floor plan also includes a large walk-in pantry off of the kitchen. At the end of the hallway that leads to the bedrooms is an entrance to the garage.

Best For: You should consider this 30×60 floor plan if you want a barndominium where you can live and work on projects under one roof, or store large vehicles or equipment in your garage.

This floor plan is actually just slightly larger than 1,800 square feet on the ground floor at 1,828 square feet. The second floor provides an extra 304 square feet, and there is a 620 square foot porch. The home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

The front porch frames the door in a pleasing way as you enter the house. You’ll find yourself in the open living room, dining room and kitchen. A hallway to the left leads to the laundry room, second and third bedrooms, bathroom, and home office (which could also be a flex space). The master bedroom, closet and bathroom are on the opposite side of the house. A flight of stairs leads up to the attic, which includes a built-in “bonus” room.

Best For: The presence of both a home office and “bonus” room in this house make it an excellent choice for anyone who is looking for flexibility in their space. If necessary, you could repurpose these rooms into extra bedrooms in the future, or convert them back into other flex spaces.
